Today there is limited opportunity to increase profitability on the cost side of the equation. The real opportunity for significant profit gains is on the revenue side. The demand for high grading carcasses is strong and the supply continues to be short. Accessing grid premiums should be a high priority for every progressive producer who wants to be competitive in a difficult market.”
