Our breeding program consists exclusively of AI and embryo transfer with the exception of our “super bull lottery.”
We select one or two exceptional bulls a season from the Gardiner program which we believe have the genetic potential to compete with AI sires. They represent the same leading-edge genetics and high-accuracy pedigrees we demand in our AI program.
We breed those bulls to a small number of females then re-sell the bulls the next season. We retain a shared interest in each of the bulls in the event one does beat the odds and become a superstar. Using good bulls like this also allows us to access the superior pedigree from the female side while the dam is still at the cutting edge of the genetic curve.
